Summer is here … and that means fun! But for a lot of families, it also means an added strain as they try to put food on the table while everyone is home from school. This year, over the summer months alone, Open Door Mission in Omaha will provide 436,724 meals through food served in their kitchen, sack lunches handed out, and food pantry items distributed in the community. That’s a lot of food … which means there’s a big need for your help!
Life 100.7 invites you to take part in Unboxing Hunger, an opportunity to stock Open Door Mission’s shelves with boxed foods like cereal, hamburger helper, boxed mac and cheese, and more. These nonperishable foods are in high demand and will help feed families all over Omaha and the metro area.
Ship or bring your new, unopened boxed foods to Life 100.7 ‘s new location (see address below) during business hours or order online using this wish list and have your items sent directly to the station for you.
